These animals require human care 365 days a year. They require food, cleaning, exercise, love and human socialization. They need love and human interaction to be the best pets they can be. There is a special need for morning volunteers from 8 A.M. until about 10:00 A.M. We need to "meet and greet" prospective adopters and to answer the phones and do the paperwork. There is a need for volunteers to conduct home checks prior to adoptions Responsible volunteers can give the rest of us a break to avoid the inevitable burn out.
We have a pressing need for people willing to get involved in our outreach Prison Dog program. This could involve hands on and inter-personal work with the inmates and dogs or simply transporting dogs depending on your willingness to participate.
We are looking for business or private sponsors to take care of our on-going utility bills. If you could sponsor one of them, please call us for further information. This is a tax write off and would result in the public being made aware of your sponsorship (if desired) via our newsletters, and other printed media.
Rubber backed throw rugs for their "rooms" This is an on-going need due to some animals being a little destructive at times.
We are always in need of "tough" toys such as Kongs or heavy duty rope toys without chewable "toys" attached. Our guys play rough in their fenced play areas and the toys don’t last long.
