Helloooooooooooooo to all humans and all four-paws! My name is "Doc". Short, sweet but no PhD attached and probably no pedigree stuff either. Just "Doc" and I acquired this wonderful name when Mutt Matchers saved me from execution. Whatever my original name was when I walked into the pound, well, Angel Girls (those are the girls at Mutt Matchers) didn't much care for my name sooooooo now I'm "Doc". I got used to it right away and I answer to it quite well now, especially if there happens to be a call like "Doc.......Dinner!" See, I'm a real chow hound and food is probably my most favorite thing in life so if you attach any type of food preparation, food words, food servings with the name "Doc", I tend to respond quickly! I catch on real fast! My Alpha Leader has to literally drag me by my leash from trash can to trash can on our Monday walks. She says it's quite humiliating! But those smells are so inviting I just can't help myself! I now belong to Donna, my Alpha leader here in Lake Havasu City. I came home with her in August after I flunked my adoption with another family. You know, Dog spelled backwards is God and I honestly believe that God made me flunk out the first time because I was really meant to be with Donna all along. She treats me with such love and she feeds me well (I've gained 3 pounds, uh-oh) that I can't imagine living anywhere else. I have 2 other weiner buddies Frankie (age 13) and Katie (age 10) and I'm only 3, and we all get to sleep with Alpha Leader in the big soft, warm bed every night. Although Katie is kind of grumpy and growly sometimes, I just try to ignore her and go on about my business. I'm a lover not a fighter so I pride myself in my restraint and I think I am quite the gentleman. I never even tried to dig out or run away once I got here because even though I'm only a dog, I do realize how good I've got it in this new home. Alpha Leader has brought me back to Mutt Matchers a couple of times for visits because Angel Pam and I have this "bond" thing going. I like her an awful lot and I think she really likes me too. All the Angels say they miss me and I think I miss them too but I really am happy in my new home. Mutt Matchers saved my life, re-named me and restored my trust in humans so that someone like Donna would find me charming and handsome and adoptable. My life is really, really, really good!

We adopted Mini (previously known as Baby) from Mutt Matchers & Friends in November of 2007. At first, she was very attached to me (Janet) and would have nothing to do with Keith! Gradually he won her over - as he was very gentle and loving with her. She has a favorite toy and her own "special" place in the living room that is hers. She is a very smart girl, and minds especially well. She's excitable, so when she gets too excited, we just tell her to go get her "Baby" and that calms her down right away. We do love our little Mini.

When we adopted Scruffy from Mutt Matchers& Friends, he was very well trained in obedience. We've had him since March 23,2008. We are very well pleased with him. Scruffy guards us, and he gets along with everyone, including our grandchildren. We were looking specifically for a dog that would help us calm down our miniature Schnauzer. What he did to do this was beyond anything we expected! Scruffy loves to go "bye bye", play in the water, and with our grandchildren. We have told everyone we know where we got Scruffy, and that if they are ever looking for a good dog, they should go to Mutt Matchers & Friends. Scruffy is so sweet and loving, and we are grateful that we were able to adopt him from Mutt Matchers!

My husband and I relocated to Kingman, AZ in 2006. As soon as we closed on our home we were off to find the perfect new addition to our family. We looked at several local shelters and the pound (Western Arizona Humane Society). We were dissatisfied by all of them and thought of contacting a breeder or a Las Vegas rescue. Then we ventured upon Mutt Matchers and Friends. The kennels and play yard were absolutely fabulous and the volunteers and staff were friendly and informative. They truly care about the dogs they rescue and continue to care about them when they are adopted out. They stay in touch and are there to support you with questions and canine education if you need it. We were so impressed and touched by Mutt Matchers that we are now both volunteers and help them in their efforts to raise canine awareness and promote positive environments for all canine companions. We couldn’t be more proud of our happy, healthy, well-mannered, four-legged daughter, Blu. She is micro-chipped, spayed, trained in basic obedience and absolutely beautiful. Thank you Mutt Matchers!
